Skin Tightening through laser treatment is a revolutionary new way to rejuvenate skin for a smoother, younger appearance. At some point in our lives we begin to realize that a transformation in our appearance is taking place. We all strive to fight the inevitable signs of aging, and non-invasive laser procedures have proven to be effective alternatives to plastic surgery. All laser skin rejuvenation procedures result in completely natural, healthy, younger looking skin. They are very affordable and involve less risk and less down time. All in all, non-invasive procedures are quick, easy and can provide amazing results.
For most Skin Tightening procedures, the laser that is used will penetrate through the epidermis into the deeper layers of the skin. This stimulates collagen growth within the deeper skin layers which leads to softer, wrinkle free skin. There are several different types of lasers physicians can use during the skin tightening procedure in order to provide maximum results.
Depending on the skin ailment, the laser will need to target different skin depths. Each individual laser emits different wavelengths and pulse durations and ultimately provides different results. The laser used for each unique procedure depends on the patients desired results. There are two Skin Tightening procedures that utilize laser technology—PhotoFacial and Thermage. Each treatment is performed somewhat differently and leads to different results.
PhotoFacial: this procedure utilizes pulsed light technology, which is similar to laser technology but differs slightly. The PhotoFacial treatment utilizes Pulsed Light technology which uses multiple wavelengths of light. When the laser light is delivered into the skin, the wavelengths of energy are concentrated at all different tissue levels. This allows the light to be adequately absorbed by the melanin in the skin therefore encouraging the production of collagen.
Thermage: this procedure is performed using a device called the ThermaCool TC. This radiofrequency device creates a controlled section of heating within the dermis and the deeper tissue of the face, while at the same time the outer layers of facial skin are constantly cooled and protected by a cryogen spray. By heating the collagen within the dermis to a specific temperature, the heat effectively creates a natural biological reaction that causes the existing collagen to contract and thicken. This results in the formation of tighter, smoother skin.
Laser Skin Tightening treatments have quickly become revolutionary, non-invasive surgical treatments. Non-invasive laser treatments that reduce the redness caused by rosacea, acne, acne scarring as well as the visible signs of aging have become increasingly popular due to this cutting edge laser technology advances. These, quick, easy, virtually painless procedures have made significant improvements in millions of people’s lives. |
